As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at Hear His Voice Uganda (HHVU), my mission is to empower individuals with
hearing loss and their families to effectively communicate and connect with the world around
them. Through personalized assessment and therapeutic intervention, I specifically address the
receptive and expressive language needs of these individuals i.e. listening, language
comprehension, and expression of both verbal and nonverbal communication.

My work extends beyond the therapy sessions as it involves collaborating with families,
educators, and other healthcare professionals i.e. audiologists. Through
HHVUand with God’s grace, these services are extended to those in need which is absolutely
amazing.

Technology has played a crucial role in modern speech therapy through Innovations being
witnessed; cochlear implants, hearing aids, and bone-anchored systems. These have been
crucial in the re/habilitation of hearing loss worldwide and provided a core in the services of
Hear His Voice Uganda.
